Schrodinger and Major stood atop the Deus Ex Machina.
"You are a sadistic man."
"You haff no idea varrent officer."
Schrodinger tilted his head to the side. He had never known too much about his insane boss. The only two facts he could pin down were, he liked war and food, despite the fact he was a cyborg.
"How did you join ze nazis Herr Major?"
"Hmm, vell I suppose it could go back to mien childhood. Mien name vas Montanna Max, later dubbed 'Mad' Montanna Max by mien commanding officer. Mien papa died of alcohal poisoning in mien parent's room vhen I vas young."
Major adjusted his glasses and chuckled.
"Only later did I find out mien mutter vas a filzy vhore. She vas cheating on mien papa even before he died, in ze very same bed no less! So vone night I found mien papa's old gun."
Major slid an old german luger out of his pocket.
"Zis ist ze very same gun. Zat night I showed no mercy tvards zat vhore. Und I felt nozing vhen I did it. No joy, sorrow, anger, just a large emptyness. Zen I ran avay. I found a nazi battalion on ze vay from mien house. I vas adopted, trained, und militarized."
"So zat ist how it all started ja?"
"Ja, Varrent Officer."
The flames of the battle below reflected off Major's glasses.
"So I vas introduced to ze endless pleasures of var!"
Major grinned. It was a smile that sent a small shiver down Schrodinger's back.
"I vas renowned for mien battle strategies und heartlessness. So I vas introduced to ze Fhurer himself und given order #666 und ze rank of SS Vaffen. .... Zen I met ze vampire Alucard. It vas ze happiest day of mien life! I had found un arch-nemesis at last. So I had tvisted ze battalion's purpose to mien own. ...... Zis vorld vill burn un Alucard vill fall."
Schrodinger smirked.
"Und you vant me to deal ze final blow?"
"Ja, you vere designed for ze sole purpose of zat."
Major chuckled. But then a cold feeling creped down his spine. His head whipped in the direction and he spotted a cloud of fog moving across the water's surface. Major grinned and started to laugh.
"Finally he ist here! Zis feeling makes mien spine tingle."
